All this week, MuchMusic will be playing a rerun of an episode of "Video on Trial", which I did at the beginning of the year. Check it out and fee free to drop me a line. Eventually, I'll get clips of it on youtube, for those of you who live in The States (most of you, apparently) and have no access to Canadian TV. There are already some clips of another episode of "Video on Trial" (or "VOT") that I did over a year ago available for viewing...right here on this very site! Just click "Videos" and check 'em out. For those with no clue, "VOT" is a Canadian TV show where funny people like myself give their "Verdict" on popular music videos. Clips of the video are shown, followed by clips of the jury (usually comedians, but not always) cracking wise about the artist, the video, the music, and whatever else comes up. It's a fun show to do, and the response is always cool whenever it airs. Thanks for that. So, tune in if you can. Hope you enjoy it. Had a blast in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at Dr. Grins Comedy Club. My best to everyone who came out and all the people that heard me on the radio. I'm in Oklahoma City this week, home of The Loony Bin Comedy Club. Email me for tickets. I'm working with a buddy, Sean Kent, whom many of you probably remember from "Last Comic Standing" a few years back. Come out and see the show. It's definitely going to be a blast. I always have fun at The Loony Bin, and working with a pal makes it that much better. See you there. Enjoy September! |

I'm in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as I type this...sitting in the green room of 104.5FM, waiting to go on the air. It's 9:20AM and, as you can probably guess, much earlier than I am used to be awake. I've actually been up since before 7am, and this is my fourth radio interview this morning. Pretty funny, when you think that HUGE cities rarely have me doing four radio interviews in a WEEK, let alone one day. But, honestly, it's fun...and, if I'm going to do radio, I'd just as soon do several interviews all morning, than get up at dawn only to do 10 minutes on ONE station. So, I'm not complaining. For everyone who asks me "Do you sleep all day? Get up after noon? Lay around the hotel all day?" Well, now you know. I can also tell you that so much coffee is pumping through me at this point, that I likely won't even be taking a nap today...certainly not before 4pm or so. Yesterday I was up around 6am so I could hit the road and drive here...today I'm on the air. Some of you actually get up at this hour EVERY GODDAMNED DAY? No thank you. Until I take that job on the radio, being a member of the "Morning Zoo Crew", I'll stick to sleeping in. If I'm not rich, nor famous, the least I can do is get to sleep late. ...Besides, I'd rather work the afternoon "Drive Time" radio slot. I'll be at Dr. Grin's Comedy Club all weekend in Grand Rapids. Email me for tickets. See you at the show. Please, someone come up to me and tell me you heard me on the radio. I want to know I got up early and was actually heard peddling my show. -Ward |

Next week kicks off a big Five-Week Tour for yours truly. I'll be heading to Grand Rapids, Michigan, then Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Wichita, and Little Rock. I won't even set foot in my apartment the entire month of September. If that's not a helluva tour, I don't know what is. Thanks for the feeback on the advance chapter from my new book, those of you who have asked for it and read it. I hope you liked the taste of things to come. I'm excited about the new book and happy to report that I'm ALMOST finished writing it. Keep your fingers crossed, since I'm doing the same. Wish I had more to write, but the summer tends to slow things down in the Stand-Up Comedy world. Kinda bullshit, if you ask me, since Hollywood releases it's biggest movies during summer. But, for some reason, most of the Stand-Up world comes to a screaching halt from late May until September. Quite stupid, really. Yet, it happens. That leaves me with little to report besides that I can't wait for autumn. That, and I'm really tired of sweating my balls off just walking to my car from my apartment.

The heat of summer has brought out my laziness, and I haven't updated the website nearly enough. That's good news for fans of my writing, believe it or not, because I have been busy working on my next book. Hopefully, that lil' sucker will be done before September and out next year. We'll see. Book stuff takes a long time. Sigh. Meanwhile, here's the big news for right now: The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide, my humor book, is officially going into a second edition this fall. Yeah, yeah...I've said that before. But this time, I mean it. I've already seen the updated cover and everything. It's going to be SO MUCH BETTER than the bland cover that I've been forced to look at for the past several years. I really can't wait. So, here's the scoop...This fall, I'm having a "BUY WARD'S BOOK TODAY" promotion, and I need your help. I want more TV exposure and more press, and it is attainable via you guys and amazon.com. What I'm going to do is simple: I need everyone to buy a copy of the new The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide on a specific day (TBA) from amazon.com. If everyone buys the book on the same day, the book officaly obtains "Bestseller" status. That gets me out there more, you get a groovy and hilarious book to keep or give away, and everyone wins. Pretty cool, eh? So, please email me for more info...and stay tuned for when I announce the date. Also, I am offering fans like yourself a FREE COPY of a chapter from my upcoming book. Email me, and I'll email you back a chapter from the book, which is a memoir about life on the road. I figure that a sample of what's to come is in order, so email me if you want to read something new from me. See you soon, Ward |

Alright, so the website was down for a week. Sorry about that. There was some maitenence issue that needed to be handled on the webmaster side of things. If I didn't have the computer knowledge of a six year-old, I might've been able to handle it myself. As it turns out, I spent so much time as a kid learning how to perform, sing, dance, and whatnot, that I barely know how to download music from itunes. ...and I throw like a girl. But I type 120 words per minute, so at least I have THAT going for me. I'm all over the midwest this summer, everywhere from Michigan (four times, actually) to Ohio to Illinois. So, come on out and check out the show. Always cool to see midwestern fans returning to the club. So, the website is back up. That's good. And the tour continues. Also good. |
