ATTENTION: EVERYONE! Yours truly is the organizer of a new movement. That's right, it's a huge movement, not unlike the enormous Presedential Campaigns being run in the States right this very minute. This is not a campaign, however, it's actually something much, much, bigger and much, much more important. It's something that affects every man, woman, and child in North America. Called "Operation: Wreath Out", this movement is a call to arms. That is to say, I want everyone in North America to USE their arms and remove the Christmas Wreaths from their front doors. If I have to wait for St. Patrick's Day for you to do it, I'm going to start taking the gnomes off your front lawns and holding them hostage. The time is now! Change can happen! BELIEVE IN "OPERATION: WREATH OUT"! Join me and, together, we can take back the Holiday Season and return it to where it belongs: A week before Halloween. See: "Operation: Reach Out" in the "NOTES" Section, and visit www.wordsfromward.blogspot.co as often as possible. |

So, I'm on tour all over again. Seems I rarely slow down. I always hear about comedians who only tour a couple of weeks a month, and I wonder how they do it. I think there's definitely part of me that would love to slow down, but a bigger part that has no clue exactly how I would do it, if I could. With that in mind, I'm going to be in Pennsylvania and parts of Iowa in February (taking one of my THREE weeks off this year at the end of the month), followed by some Kansas and Michigan gigs in March, with two weeks in The Bahamas, like I do every year. Looking forward to visiting The Atlantis this year in the early spring, when it's still cold in Toronto, unlike last year, when I was there in JUNE!! Got a funny little book on the way, although not the novel I've been promising for so long. THAT will have to wait, I'm afraid, but there's still new material on the way. I'll be selling a new humor book at my shows this spring; something easy to read and yet fun to take with you at the end of the show. Hope you all like it. It will NOT be for everyone, I'll just say that. But, hopefully, you'll all enjoy it. New clips on youtube.com this month. Check out what's already there and what's to come by going here: www.youtube.com/wardrick and, as always, check out my blog at www.myspace.com/wardanderson, although I can't tell you how much longer I'm putting up with myspace. I'm on Facebook, too...so check it out when you can. What's up with you in 2008? Got a New Year's Resolution you haven't broken yet?! -W |

This is not a typical entry for me...but, here goes: "RENT", on Broadway, is closing on June 1st, 2008. This is a wonderful, important musical for me (I was almost a member of the touring production) and a GREAT production to see. After 12 years on Broadway, the show is closing this year. It's been quite a ride, but the show has endured, and is really a show that I'm proud to have enjoyed all these years (does that sound too sappy on my part?)...! If you get the chance, you need to see "RENT" before it closes. It's at the Neaderlander Theatre in NYC on Broadway. Get tickets before it closes. You'll be glad you caught it! The movie does NOT do the play justice, although the music from the movie is great (most of the original cast is in the movie), regardless. Go see it live!! -Ward |
